RULES & POLICIES
The Greenmont Racquet & Swim Club is a private club. Dues billed annually. The Winter season is from mid-September until mid-May. New members are accepted at any time during the year. Memberships are non-transferable and non-refundable.
GUESTS: Any in-town individual may be a guest at the club by paying a $5.00 non-member fee. The guest is limited to only 3 times in a single season.
A monthly member may not play as a guest if their monthly membership has expired. Monthly members who participate after their membership has expired will be charged a new month of membership which must be paid before playing again.
Members must register guests at the desk. Guests taking private lessons or clinics will pay the same $5.00 per visit, but without limit.
Permanent court time remains the responsibility of the member whether the court is used or not. If the member notifies the club in advance when the member is unable to play, the club will attempt to sell the court. If successful, the club will credit the member's account. If not successful, the member will be charged accordingly.
Reservations for unreserved courts may be made at any time. Such reservations will be charged unless canceled at least 24 hours before the scheduled time.
Court fees must be paid or charged before going onto the court. Specific courts cannot be assigned at time of reservation. Should there be a mix-up in reservations, the facts indicated on our court sheets shall prevail.
LESSONS:
Cancellation policy
Players scheduling private lessons accept responsibility for the costs of the court and the lesson fee -- cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance or charges may be incurred.
Players that cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice or do not show up will be responsible for the court and any fee assigned by the professional not to exceed the cost of the lesson. Non-member fees will not be assessed.
Players that schedule a weekly private lesson time will always be responsible for the entire cost of the court $32/hr (unless the court is sold), since a permanent court reservation is held for the lesson. This obligation ends when the student ends the lessons by written confirmation.
Lessons must be paid or charged before taking lessons. Carts and balls are the exclusive property of the Tennis Professional, any use of them will be charged at the listed rates.
COURT RULES: Tennis attire is to be worn at all times (no cut-offs, jeans or street clothes).
Drinks or food cannot be taken onto the courts unless in approved spill-proof containers.
Greenmont is a smoke-free facility.
Common courtesy dictates that players should not enter the court area before their scheduled time to play. Likewise, players should relinquish their court to oncoming players when time has ended, not at the end of a game.
Profanity, racquet throwing and hitting of back curtains, nets and walls will not be tolerated. Players in violation of this may be defaulted or removed from the facility.
